Nori Wraps

Craving sushi rolls? Why not try them in a wrap?! Nori is a dried edible seaweed used in Japanese cuisine that acts as a sturdy “tortilla” for your favorite sushi roll veggies. Because of nori’s “sea-like” flavor, these wraps have a sushi-like taste without the raw fish, and can be a super easy meal without having to order sushi take-out. The best part about these wraps, is you can add whatever veggies or ingredients you love and make your own customized sushi wrap creation!

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  • Slice tofu block into thin “french-fry-like” strips and marinate/coat strips in the Thai-Ger Sweet Chili Sauce.
  • Air-fry (or bake) tofu strips until slightly golden-brown.
  • Cook white jasmine rice until tender. Let cool.
  • Make dipping sauce by combining chipotle mayo with sriracha. Stir and set aside.
  • Assemble wrap by laying one sheet of nori paper flat on a cutting board. Top the full paper with cooked white jasmine rice, pressing the rice slightly into the paper (*Tip: add a little sprinkle of water to the rice to make it extra-sticky).
  • Onto one end of the paper/rice square, add the baked tofu strips, shredded carrots, shredded cucumber, and sliced avocado (*make sure to only add these additional ingredients to one side of the paper/rice, as to not over-stuff the wrap). Gently roll into a burrito-style wrap.
  • Once rolled up, paint a few drops of water onto the top of the wrap and sprinkle sesame seeds onto it (the water helps them to stick).
  • Slice wrap in half (if desired) and dip into side of spicy mayo sauce. Enjoy!
